This video really spoke to me. How often do people complement little girls, even toddler girls, on their pretty dress, their cute haircut, their beautiful eyes? But how often do we complement little girls on their brains!? Their curiosity? Their desire to explore nature?
As a teacher, I work to convince many high school girls that it’s ok to be “nerdy”. They can love science and look good at the same time! Sometimes it takes a lot of convincing!!
